Three Roles of the
Awana Missionary Team
Your church will benefit greatly from having a team
of missionaries supporting all aspects of your church’s mission.
Their support helps equip churches to reach kids for Christ, connect
to unsaved families, improve and expand Sunday school programs, recruit
and train lay people for ministry, develop future church leaders,
prepare parents to shepherd their children and impact their communities.
Plus, missionaries work in their areas of passion and giftedness,
so you are served by skilled ministry professionals in three specialized
roles:
Awana Church Care Missionaries
- Directly support your local church and consult pastoral
staff.
- Provide consultation on children's and youth ministry.
- Present training on all aspects of Awana programming.
- Integrate operational plans with the other missionaries.
- Expand the quality of children's and youth ministry.
- Guide qualified, trained volunteer teams to be fully
available to your church.
Awana Outreach Missionaries
- Support your church and other missionaries with integrated Awana
events.
- Increase the presence of Awana within your area and state.
- Plan, organize, communicate and execute a year-long schedule of
integrated events, such as ministry conferences and Rorheim Institute.
- Oversee ministry conferences in the fall.
- Manage regional training sites for various aspects of Awana.
- Guide skilled, passionate volunteer teams to manage events.
Awana Development Missionaries
- Support Awana Clubs International and your state
or area team with growth and ministry development opportunities.
- Grow the overall Awana ministry.
- Integrate their operational plans with the other
missionaries.
- Guide attentive volunteer teams to serve your church,
other missionaries and Awana Clubs International.
