Year 2 Theme: The Proven Method
Bubbles, beakers and bunsen burners! Ashley and Tyler are learning about science while they visit the Professor (Uncle Mac) for a couple of weeks. And while learning about chemical reactions is important, this brother and sister deduce something essential that has an eternal impact – they need to trust Jesus Christ as their Savior. The science theme doesn’t stop with the skits, though. In the lessons, campers will witness science experiments that reinforce what they are hearing about the gospel. Cool experiments, the message of the gospel and entertaining skits — it’s all part of The Proven Method. 

Theme Verse – John 3:16

Day 1	Heaven – Gold Color	John 3:16 John 14:1-2 1 John 4:10	God is the Creator of everything. He loves everything a He has created. We are His creation and He wants us to live with Him in heaven.	Ashley and Tyler arrived at the Professor’s (Uncle Mac) home the night before. He plans to give them a tour of his lab and teach them about science during their two-week stay with him while their parents are on an African safari.
Day 2	Sin – Dark Color	Eccl. 7:20 Romans 3:23	Because God is perfect, He must punish sin. We ALL sin, and that sin blocks us from going to heaven.	Ashley and Tyler are helping the Professor in his lab. They’re cleaning beakers and repairing things. They get into a fight and break some of his beakers in the process. The Professor uses this moment to teach them that we all sin.
Day 3	Blood of Jesus – Red Color	1 Corinthians 15:3-4 Romans 6:23 2 Corinthians 5:21	God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and take the punishment for our sin. Jesus rose again tosave us from death and sin.	Ashley and Tyler have spent a couple days learning about the lab. The Professor has taught them some of the basics of science, and now they’re ready to do an experiment with him!
Day 4	Faith – White Color	Acts 16:25-34 Romans 10:9 John 1:12	Each of us must acknowledge our sin and trust Jesus as our Savior in order to go to heaven.	The Professor has been talking with Ashley and Tyler about Jesus over dinner. They both decide to trust Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Day 5	Growing in Christ – Green Color	Matthew 28:18-20 Acts 2:42 Psalm 86:11	Once we trust Jesus as our Savior, we learn more about Him by reading and obeying the Bible, praying and going to church. We want to share the good news of Jesus with others!	Ashley and Tyler only have a few days left until they go home. They’re excited about their new relationship with Jesus and can’t wait to tell their parents and friends all about Him. Uncle Mac does one last experiment with them to help them understand the importance of growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
