Timely Tip: Awards For All
On awards night, how do you handle the Cubbies who don't finish their books? One leader on the Awana Cubbies forum shared an idea.

At the awards ceremony, she gave every child in her club a Cubbies cup. In each cup, she put the book award (if they earned it) and candy. She wrapped each cup in cellophane and tied it with a ribbon and a name tag.

When she announced the awards, she made sure to first recognize those who finished their books, and she gave them their cups. Then she introduced the "rest of the awesome Cubbies" in her club and gave them the same cups (only without the award inside). In this way, every Cubbie got to come to the stage. Those who finished their books were praised (and their parents were happy), but those who didn't finish felt good too.
