Welcome to the Leader Resource Page for T&T
A leader wrote in to tell us how he uses KidsPrint in his club. Clubbers are not only encouraged to read KidsPrint (and he says they look forward to it), but he also encourages parents to read it. Clubbers who bring the KidsPrint back to club with a parent's signature (signifying that they've read it) receive extra points, shares or a small prize.
Improved T&T Handbooks Are Getting Rave Reviews! We Get Letters ... and Tracts and Games Here's what Sienna from Garden Grove, California had to say about her leader: In first grade I realized I wanted to be a leader for others. You have shown me how to be a helpful and fun leader. I hope that when I am old enough, that I can make other kids as happy and comfortable as you have made me. You are a good role model. My family is grateful that you have made this year so special for me. |
Updated Book Three Coming for 2008-09 Club Year! A No-Slump Summer Here are some suggestions to make sure you have a no-slump summer. f 1. Send KidsPrint and BrainChecks to your clubbers to keep in contact (and to provide spiritual encouragement for those who do not regularly attend church.) 2. Remind clubbers to hold on to their T&T books because later books review earlier books. 3. Send fliers announcing summer activities at your church such as VBS programs or family picnics. 4. Have a mid-summer T&T party - maybe an ice cream bash or a field trip to a nearby park. 5. Go out of your way to say "hi" to clubbbers you see at church. Let them know you still recognize them even if they aren't wearing their Awana uniform.
Are your clubbers done with their handbooks and the Silver and Gold extra credit? Did you know there are certificates and pins available for those who can repeat all 32 questions and answers in one sitting? Wait a minute, maybe your clubber can do two handbooks at once or even three or four? Certificates are available for all these fantastic feats! Check them out on page 81 of the 2007-08 Minsitry Catalog. And yes, we do KNOW of clubbers who have done all 128 answers and backup-verses in ONE sitting? Crack the Code! It's getting near the end of the year when a lot of T&T clubbers are finishing their books and a lot of leaders are writing into HQ asking how to crack the code. The symbols across the top of any two- page spread in T&T Book Three correspond to the alphabet (as we tell you in the book introduction) We would suggest you look at the top of pages 10-11. The square-looking "U" in the upper left-hand corner is "A," and the four dots in the middle of the right-hand page is the "Z." Then it starts over. The answer on page 128 is "I am almost done with my book" and on page 149, the answer is "Congratulations." |
