A generational cycle of incarceration affects millions of families around the country, leaving a multitude of challenges for prisoners, their children and the caregivers left at home. Awana Lifeline™ reunites the hearts of children to their inmate fathers and helps build a new culture of hope in prison and in the home.

Awana Lifeline's mission is fulfilled through four key components:

	Training Imates to Be Godly Fathers Malachi Dads is a support program that transforms the hearts of fathers to nurture the hearts of their children in an effort to break the cycle of crime in their families
	A Day for Families An unforgettable day of games, food, relationship building and Bible teaching reunites incarcerated dads and their children at Returning Hearts Celebrations held on prison grounds around the country. To volunteer at the March 28, 2009 Returning Hearts Celebration at Louisiana State Penitentiary complete the application below. Equipping Caregivers to Be Spiritual Role Models in the Home Awana Lifeline partners with HomeBase, the family ministry of Awana, to train caregivers to be positive spiritual role models in the home.
Ministering to Children Through Bible-based Programs For nearly 60 years, Awana has been a leader in children's and youth ministry through fun, Bible-based programs that train kids from age 2 through high school to know, love and serve Christ.
