T&T Trading Cards: Making a Difference!

Our T&T clubs started using the T&T Trading Cards this fall as soon as they became available. The clubbers love them and have started challenging each other to see who can get done first with their Discoveries or Challenges to get their next pack of cards. Our leaders don't feel like they are pulling teeth anymore just to get the clubbers to finish a section, let alone a Discovery or Challenge. One of our clubbers received a Gold Card which created a great deal of excitement in the club that night. The great part about the T&T Trading Cards is that the kids understand that they have to earn them and the games that they play on the web reinforce what they learn in their books.

Our T&T boys have gotten into the trading cards. They all pull them out before handbook time and after large group when waiting for parents. They are really excited about getting their cards and we get reminded not so gently if we forget to give them their pack! It has been a great motivator.

We have some excited T&T girls this year thanks to the new trading cards! When the girls finish a Discovery or a Challenge, they can't wait to tear into a new pack to see if they can find the character they are trying to collect. All the girls pull out their cards and the trading begins. I hear them saying, "Thanks, that's just the card I needed! Did you get the gold card? What will it look like? How many cards do you have?" We send a big thank you for continuing to make T&T such a fun place to be!

We have over 120 girls attend club each week. This year we’re using the new T&T Trading Cards as an incentive to encourage more girls to complete their handbooks. We’ve only had Awana for four years and this year we have the most kids at the half-way point in their book at the half-way point of our club year! I love seeing the girls sprawled out on the gym floor at the end of club – trading cards. We even have two girls that got the Streamwood gold cards! One of the girls finished her T&T Book Two last night and the other girl is well on her way to finishing her handbook too! Get ready Awana headquarters – we’ll need at least two of those Gold Prize Packs shipped to our church!

Our names are Abbie and Bethany. We are 9-year-old twin sisters who attend Awana at our church in Iowa, and we love the trading cards! Bethany is collecting the Kristy cards and needs a couple more to have a complete set. Abbie is collecting the Arthur cards first and just needs one more to have them all. The cards are a hit with our friends, too. When we started to show our cards to them, a crowd gathered around us. Everyone wanted one!

We gave a presentation to our T&T club about the trading cards. It went great! Our commanders are buying the cards so everyone in our club can earn them as they learn their verses in their handbooks. Thank you for the T&T Trading Cards!
