As many of you know - Awana began working with a new vendor for our major awards and although we placed the order for our awards last fall, we were informed that our vendor would not be able to deliver on the dates they promised. This resulted in a large number of backorders.
Good news! Over 100,000 awards have come in and were shipped out for the kids who have worked so hard this year in Awana! We want to thank all of you for your patience, understanding and grace.
There are still one or two awards that may backorder as we near the end of the ministry year so if you are placing an award order we have a process that prioritizes orders whenever possible to be shipped based on your award ceremony date.
So if your awards ceremony is between May 30 and the end of June, here is what you need to do. Please email our Customer Care team at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at (866) 292-6227 and let us know your awards ceremony date, so if your award is backordered we will do our best to get them to you on the date you need them.
We also have downloadable certificates available to be used as a placeholder for the couple of awards that may backorder – so if needed, you can present your kids with something tangible during your ceremony. They are available on the store and website at awana.org/2017awards.
Again, we sincerely apologize for any problems this may create for your award ceremonies, and any disappointment this may cause to the kids we all care so deeply about. We are fully committed to raising our service levels to the point where each and every one of you receives what you need, when you need it…year in and year out.
