Tim was born in the Chicagoland area, where he was an Awana clubber for six years. Sherry was born in Huntsville, Alabama. They met and married in Pensacola, Florida in 1981. Later that same year they volunteered to be Awana leaders when their church started a new club.
Prior to becoming missionaries, they lived in central Florida for 20 years where Tim was employed in the computer industry and Sherry worked as an interpreter for the Deaf and a teacher, while also home schooling their four children.
For 25 years they served as Awana Leaders, Directors, Commanders, and Ministry Team Members when in the summer of 2004, they were asked to be the volunteer, interim missionaries for central Florida when the missionary resigned. During that year, they saw God leading them into full-time service as Awana missionaries. They were accepted as missionaries in 2005 and began serving in southern Wisconsin 2006.
Tim and Sherry have four adult children: David, Wendy, Stephen, and Kyle. All of them grew up in Awana and earned their Citation Award.
David lives in central Florida and is an engineer for Mitsubishi Power Systems. He and his wife Sarah have two daughters, Alanna, born July 10, 2014 and Lillian, born November 7, 2016.
Wendy is married to Nick and lives in Castle Rock, Colorado. They have two children: Evan and Forrest. Evan is in 2nd grade and attends Sparks. Forrest was born in 2013 and is growing up so fast.
Stephen and his wife, Joanna, live in Owosso, MI. Their daughter, Abigail, was born on June 6, 2014 - Tim and Sherry’s anniversary. Their second duaghter, Hannah, was born December 28, 2015
Kyle and Lenie live in Watertown and also have two daughters. Kayla and Kelsy
In addition to serving as missionaries with Awana, Sherry teaches full time at a small Christian school, and both Tim and Sherry are very involved in the ministries of their church in Watertown, WI. Tim and Sherry also enjoy spending time with family - especially their grandchildren - whenever possible.
