Fishing With the Fugel's
Shortly after being married and looking for a church home while in graduate school, friends invited us to visit their church. A few weeks later, they asked if we could help out “just one time” in their children’s ministry called Awana, as they had a few folks out of town and a few folks that were going to be out due to illness. That night changed our lives as we discovered the joy of laboring together, in service to our Lord, fishing for children and their families with the Gospel. What a joy it is to see children coming to know, love, and serve our Lord Jesus Christ.
Forty years later, we continue to rejoice as we labor together in the Awana Ministry, 35 years as Awana Leaders in our local church and now four years as Awana Missionaries in SC, still fishing for kids. We thank the Lord for those friends that reached out and mentored us in the Awana Ministry; and we want to thank those folks that currently serve alongside us on our Awana Ministry Team.
We would also like to thank our Awana Ministry Partners, AMPs, who support our ministry through their prayers, financial support, and spiritual gifts of service as volunteers. Amps is an electrical term referring to the electrical current that powers electrical appliances. In the same way, our Awana Ministry Partners empower our ministry through God’s supply of our every need. As faith-supported missionaries, we praise Him for your partnership with us.
If we can be of assistance to you in any way, or if you would like to join our AMPs team, please contact us….and Let’s Go Fishing!
