Herly Sanchez trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 12 through his mother’s teachings and his Sunday school teacher’s influence. The word of God he had memorized showed him his sinfulness and God’s only way to the Father.
Herly has been involved with Awana since 1993 as as a leader, director and as a zone coordinator. He became an Awana Missionary in 2002 serving the northern region of Colombia. As a missionary he develops advocacy and training and also motivates churches to evangelize and disciple boys and girls. Awana is a tool to make known the True God and to share His word and will with the children of Colombia.
Herley and his wife Nubia live in Aguachica Cesar, Colombia and have three daughters. They serve in the Awana ministry because they believe that God has a special plan for the children of this region. The harvest is great and they desire to remain workmen approved of God to take the gospel to native children of ethnic groups and also to children in the western region of Colombia.
