Hello, my name is Zabdy Amaya Troconis, and I am from Venezuela. I live in Barquisimeto, Venezuela.
I was called to the service of the Lord at a young age. God was preparing the way so that I could serve Him full-time in the area of Christian education in 1992. In 1997, I graduated from Instituto Bíblico Ebenezer that also enabled me to prepare in the area of music. Later on I also graduated as a technician in integral education, and I’m currently being trained as a psychologist through a prestigious university in Venezuela.
My first introduction to the ministry of Awana Clubs was in 1995 serving in different programs throughout the years: as a leader, club director, general director, and director of JV. Along with my husband, we’ve been directing the Awana program from Sparks to Journey, and developing clubs for educational institutions as a spiritual formation program. I was part of the Awana National Ministry Team in Venezuela serving in Awana Games, Meritorious Camps, Leadership Training, and as an Awana Missionary from Venezuela in Costa Rica, collaborating to establish the ministry there.
I’ve been invited to join the Awana program team as a collaborator and volunteer since 2001. During this time I’ve been privileged to participate in the development, adaptation and revision of different programs for ministries in Latin America.
Therefore, today more than ever, I am committed to this ministry, assuming the role as the Program and Training Specialist for Latin America. It has been a great blessing, but also a challenge to know that there are more children and youth to be reached. That’s why we are training more leaders and churches, so that we can reach all corners of our Latin American countries, so that all children and youth all over the world will come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
My husband Juan, my daughter Abi Gabriela and I continue to participate in the vision and mission of Awana around the world.
