When United States military families go overseas, they bring Awana with them. As a result, Awana has clubs on or near U.S. military bases in Europe and Asia. Awana provides a “church away from home” for the children of the troops while they are ex-pats. Awana also helps these churches by equipping their leaders to reach kids with the incredible news of the gospel.
Reaching Kids in U.S. Military Clubs
Since Awana first began international U.S. military clubs, it has provided continuity for military families as they move from one base to another. The gospel of Christ has shown these military children that they are precious to God and created especially by Him!
Equipping Leaders in U.S. Military Clubs
Awana is a proven program for reaching kids with the gospel back in the United States. But the military families are not content to leave the program back home when they need to serve overseas. When the Awana program is offered to children on the bases, it also means that adults receive training on how to share their faith and disciple others. Each Awana program is built upon leadership that is trained to reach children.
A global missionary is available to the U.S. military bases that run Awana clubs and a Regional Ministry Director provides training and oversight for the ministry. If you and your family are serving in the military and would like more information, please contact Eddie Hester at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Changing the World in U.S. Military Clubs
Many are coming to know the Lord and are being discipled through the Awana program. It’s a program that works in many different places and situations, even as military families serve overseas.
