South Asia: They don’t give up. They pray.

South Asia

Between the deep, widespread roots of other religions and a resistance to Christianity that, in some areas, spirals into full-blown persecution, biblical ministry in South Asia is a task tailored for the strong in heart.

And in six countries, where on average, only 2% of the population claims Christianity, those stout-hearted leaders are shaping 1,505,299 precious kids to know who they are in Jesus. Each of those children has parents and grandparents, neighbors and teachers who in all likelihood have never heard the Gospel — whose lives could be changed forever when that child shares the Good News with them.

There are 464 million children under the age of 15 in the South Asia region. The potential for kingdom growth and sharing the Gospel of Jesus is mind-boggling. In just the coming year, we could reach 170,000 new children! That’s why these leaders don’t give up. No matter how small the Christian minority or how far down the social system Christians are kept, they keep teaching, keep loving like Jesus and keep praying.

As they pray over Awana, their countries and the children in their ministries in their native languages and in English, we invite you to join us in praying alongside them.

Thank you for being a friend to child discipleship around the world.
