Global Vice President South Korea
Billy Lee is global vice president for Awana South Korea. After initially joining Awana in a part-time capacity, Billy came on full-time in 1996 as chief Awana coordinator and CEO for Awana South Korea. In 2018, he was appointed area director of the Pacific Rim (now called Asia Pacific), and then as a global vice president in 2025. As a global vice president, Billy advocates for the Awana ministry to help serve Korean churches around the world. His work is fueled day in and day out by the privilege of helping raise a generation — children, youth and families — who will love and follow Christ.
Billy earned a bachelor’s degree in theology and master’s degree in ministry at Korea Baptist Theological University and Seminary, and was ordained as a Baptist pastor in December 1998. He lives in South Korea with his wife, Young Oh Deborah. They have three adult children who were blessed to be raised in Awana clubs from Sparks all the way to Trek.
Billy’s favorite Bible verse is Galatians 2:20, KJV: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
