Miguel Perez
Global Vice President Latin America
Miguel is the global vice president of Awana Latin America. Miguel began serving with Awana in 1989 as a volunteer on the founding board of Awana Venezuela and officially joined the staff in 1997. He currently leads the Latin America team, equipping and mobilizing pastors, missionaries and church leaders to reach and disciple children, youth and families in thousands of churches across the area each week. Together with his wife, Margarita, he cultivates collaborative networks that strengthen and expand generational discipleship throughout the region. Originally from Venezuela, Miguel and Margarita are parents to two daughters and proud grandparents of two grandchildren. They currently reside in Illinois, in the United States.
Miguel’s favorite Bible passage is 2 Timothy 2:2, NIV: And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.
