Donors Make a Difference

Have you ever wondered if the gift you have given to an organization is doing any good? Sure, we can talk about programs and efficiency and statistics, but the bottom line is this: What is the EROI of my gift – the Eternal Return On Investment? At Awana, this is a question that we take very seriously, and can answer confidently.

Your gift to Awana ensures that leaders are trained to reach kids. Everywhere Awana ministers, lives are being changed forever because our donors have made it a priority to present the gospel to children and to provide long-term discipleship so that children will grow to know, love and serve Jesus.

But what does that look like in real life? Here’s a report just in from our leadership team in Ethiopia – one of the exciting new mission fields Awana has been able to reach because of your gifts:

“In September, we held our “Seed Planters” leadership training. We expected 120 leaders from 60 churches; however, 151 leaders from 76 churches showed up! Our team worked harmoniously and it was a very successful event. Almost all of the churches in the area were represented! One lady, who came from a megachurch, said this: “I have been doing children’s ministry for 20 years, but this training rekindled my passion and also gave me many new skills.”

Every time we train we get more demands for the training in other cities. I see a big potential of growth for Awana in Ethiopia and we need to start preparing for the huge need that is coming our way.”

Praise God not only for a successful training, but for the ministry these leaders will provide to children: these 67 churches that were represented will serve 4000 children – all made possible because our donors – you – have partnered with Awana to reach more kids.

We are hearing exciting stories like this every week. Thank you for being part of their story!
