Mother’s Day Printable: A Free Resource to Encourage and Thank Moms

It’s been said that there’s no tougher job in the world than being a mom. The wonderful and yet relentless nature of mothering is visible everywhere. They push strollers, pulling endless snacks and kindness from back pockets. They give homework encouragement, even when they secretly agree that sometimes math makes no sense too. They wrestle with how to say no to what their children want in favor of what they need. And they stand their ground with regal composure.
In this day and age, moms especially face all kinds of pressures and stress as they seek to love and care for their children in an increasingly challenging world. Moms rise early, and moms stay up late. Moms give of themselves when they feel like they have nothing to offer. And moms know that this job doesn’t come with a lot of thanks, and they are often overly aware of how they fall short.
For the children you serve, it can be another step in their discipleship journey to pause for a minute and remember that God gave them their moms as a gift, no matter how imperfect their relationship is. When we talk about how God calls us to love others, sometimes remembering to show love to family members, such as moms, can be overlooked, so take a minute to point this out to kids. Invite them to use Mother’s Day to show love to their moms.
And you have the opportunity to make it easy for their kids to show some extra appreciation this Mother’s Day—you can download this free printable to have the kids color.
A little encouragement can make all the difference! Be sure to tell all the moms you know how amazing you think they are, and help kids take a moment to say this too!
