We’re joined by millions of brothers and sisters around the world in the call to make resilient disciples, and we can connect as a global community through prayer for one another! We’ve developed the Awana monthly prayer calendar with praise and prayers from fellow believers all over the world because the God of the universe wants to hear from us.
Each of our lives are marked by relationships, opportunities, and circumstances that we bring to the Lord in prayer. These requests are deeply personal; frequently they are on behalf of our friends, communities, and churches. Prayer gives us an opportunity to humbly communicate with the Father. As the Spirit intercedes on our behalf, we are given the space to release joy, fear, and suffering into the hands of our omnipotent God. Jesus taught us to pray, demonstrating this discipline on behalf of himself, his disciples, and the world. As you lift these requests to the Father, your prayers will be joined with the prayers of believers around the globe.

Melanie Hester is the Partner Communications Specialist at Awana. She grew up serving the church and finds it a privilege to continue doing that through both her career and as the 4’s and 5’s teacher at her local church. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and desires to always be in a learning mindset. She is a wife and mom, a lover of craft coffee, and an avid shopper at Trader Joe’s.
