A Man Who Follows His Heart

The son of a freedom fighter in Bangladesh’s liberation struggle and a mother who passed when he was only 14, Kintu Day has a story within him and faith to share. And he chooses to share through Awana.

Kintu came to know Jesus through Awana himself, having participated from 1995-1999, when he was a student. Over those years, Awana carved out a special place in his heart, and when he felt the call to become a church planter in southern Bangladesh, he advocated for child discipleship programming everywhere he went. He even established four new Awana clubs.

Together, Kintu and his wife are helping the next generation know and follow Jesus.

Now, Kintu is married to another Awana alum. Their shared passion for children’s faith has made them a force for Jesus. Together, they minister to more than 100 children every week between two Awana clubs in Cox’s Bazar area of southeast Bangladesh.

Kintu is planting seeds of faith that will last for generations.

The leadership and visible commitment of volunteers like Kintu and his wife — volunteers who’ve experienced for themselves the life-changing power of weekly child discipleship —  are at the heart of Awana ministry. Through them, countless lives have been shaped by the hope and love of Jesus Christ.

Once discipled through Awana, Kintu now faithfully disciples others.
