Awana IS Growing
Vietnam
Ms. Thao faithfully helps children in Vietnam grow in their love for God.
When Ms. Thao, an Awana leader in a church in Vietnam, speaks about Awana, she can’t help but use the word “grow” in all its forms.
When they first started Awana at their church and she got to help lead, there was space for Ms. Thao and her husband to lead together. Shared experience and passions — that kind of teamwork — grows relationships by leaps and bounds.
Ms. Thao shares from God’s Word during Large Group Time.
And the club grew by leaps and bounds, too! At first, 12 children participated. After six months, the club grew to about 25 children. But it didn’t stop there. It’s not just about growing numbers; it’s about growing in faith and belief.
Kids grow in their faith while having fun in Small Group Time.
Each week, Ms. Thao and her husband see children come to know and understand who God is, and accept the saving grace of Christ. And she’s seen the natural by-products. Kids are starting to love God’s Word and come to church more frequently.
While serving together and helping build a thriving Awana club are plenty to smile about, there’s still more. As Ms. Thao and her husband lead discipleship, they’re getting the chance to study God’s Word alongside their own children during club activities. For their family, Awana has become a space where they can connect over the Bible and where, as parents, they have a front-row seat to their kids’ spiritual growth.
Witnessing God working in and through the children at their church each week is truly a gift. Your support helps equip leaders like the Thaos, and in turn, is shaping kids all over the world for lasting faith, and strengthening families as they walk their faith journey together. Thank you.
