The African continent is an exciting place for those of us working in biblical child discipleship. With its growing openness to the Gospel and an increase in strategic partnerships with African churches, schools and communities, and even in some cases governments, it’s teeming with kingdom opportunities. And between the successfully established Awana ministries and the eagerness of volunteers waiting to be trained all across Africa, we have a strong foundation for sustainable growth.
We can’t wait to see what the year brings in the 35 countries we currently serve. Already, 48,440 churches and schools have partnered with Awana for training and materials to deliver child discipleship in their communities. And over 9 million children are growing in faith as a result.
But we’re only just beginning.
In the next fiscal year, we’re on a trajectory to reach 6,500 new churches and schools and over 2 million new children!
The children in these videos, the landscapes among which they live, and the ministry leaders from whom they learn, are just a sample of those millions of children we could bring the hope of Jesus in the next year. Thank you for coming on the journey with us and for praying alongside them.
