If you’re reading this, that means you may be having trouble getting a hold of a Sparky award plaque, and for that we are truly sorry.
To be totally honest, we’re a little surprised we don’t have them.
We ordered them on time. They were shipped on time. But they still haven’t arrived.
It’s frustrating, but there’s a good story behind it.
Maybe you remember hearing some news a couple of months ago about a port strike on the west coast of the U.S. Well, that problem has affected a shipment of Sparky award plaques.
Yes, somewhere on a ship floating in the Pacific Ocean is a shipping container with several thousand Sparky award plaques just waiting to be unloaded and delivered to you.
(Awana may or may not be considering a new Sparky Adventure book recounting the tale of Sparky and his friends being stuck on a freighter in the middle of the ocean. We’re still workshopping the story. Stay tuned. 😉 )
We are currently doing our best to distribute the plaques that arrive at our warehouse to clubs that need them, but we know not all clubs will get their plaques in time for their awards ceremony.
