49 Messages Kids Need to Hear

April 28, 2015

Have you ever met someone and immediately connected?
A common heartbeat, vision, or purpose.
Keith Ferrin is one of those friends.

I first met Keith while gathering a group of writers for the 2014 Awana Advent Devotional. Keith is a tremendous writer whose passion rings true to the heart of Awana: helping people fall in love with God’s word.

Sounds like a pretty solid idea to me.

What follows is a blog post repurposed from his original book 49 Identity Messages Your Kids Need to Hear…and won’t unless you tell them. It’s available as a FREE downloadable PDF.

Whether you’re a parent who’s planning to share these ideas with your kids (as my wife and are planning to), or a leader who will share them with kids in your church, I loved this list so much that I wanted to pass it on to you.

Thanks again for what you do and enjoy!

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! (I John 3:1)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3)

28. You have been given the Holy Spirit to guide you.

29. You have been redeemed and have the full rights of sons.

30. You are protected by the powerful name of Jesus.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
