When Love Came to Town

Awana

October 21, 2015

Did you know that in developing countries throughout the world, children are often neglected, mistreated, and under valued?

Sadly, even churches within these countries often overlook children as part of their outreach. Kids are too often forgotten.

But children represent the people group most likely to place their hope in Jesus. In fact, many studies share that nearly 83 percent of all Christ followers today made a profession of faith between the ages of 4 and 14.

If the statistics are accurate, then what in the world can we do about it? How can we tell children about the love of Christ? With a staggering 1.9 billion children in the world, could this be the greatest opportunity of our time?

Awana sees the desperate need to equip every country with amazing children’s ministry. And many of you, through prayer and generosity, are going beyond your community to bring Awana to other parts of the world.

Because of faithful folks like you, Awana will soon be reaching nearly 3 million children around the world.

So this week, we’re celebrating YOU! Yes, there’s much work to be done – and we need help to do it – but because of you, more kids are hearing about the love of Jesus than ever before. You are bringing love to town. You’re bringing it through every prayer. You’re bringing it through every generous gift. You’re changing the world by helping reach kids!

To show you the difference you truly make, a church partner captured this video (hyperlink) after helping Awana launch children’s ministry in Malawi. This pastor’s church was about to close, but because of you, something amazing happened:

If we could only have a video for every community transformation!

But rest assured, you are bringing Christ’s love to kids, towns, communities, and countries all over the world when you partner with Awana.

Thank you for helping Awana reach more kids than ever before.

Your faithfulness and generosity are truly making a difference.

To see more stories of life change join Awana as we kick off our Give the Greatest Gift campaign on November 27th.
